HVAC Heating FAQ's
HOP Energy works on traditional systems such as furnaces, boilers, radiators, and water heaters. Our local HVAC technicians work on most makes and models. We also help homeowners with ductless mini-split heat pump installations if you want a modern solution.
Home heating services are typically charged by the hour plus the cost of a system if you’re getting a replacement or installation. It’s our philosophy that homeowners shouldn’t be overcharged for any service. When you contact us for a free estimate, we’ll give you a fair price.
Your home’s central heating system can only maintain complete operation and energy efficiency when it is serviced with preventative maintenance. We always recommend choosing at least an annual maintenance plan that goes over all key system points for proper operation. With HOP, you can choose a customized maintenance agreement that works best for you.
At HOP, we always start our engagement by giving you a free estimate. Once we understand what your needs are, we provide four main heating equipment services:
- Repairs: Fixing any issues with your heating system.
- Installation: Installing a new heating system of your choice including furnaces, boilers, and water heaters. We provide recommendations to assist you with decision-making.
- System Replacements: Replacing your existing system that’s run its course.
- Maintenance: Preventative and emergency maintenance is available.
If your system (boiler or furnace) has minor issues, like unusual noises, inconsistent heating, or small leaks, repairs typically resolve these problems. However, if you're experiencing frequent breakdowns, rapidly increasing energy bills, or your heating system is over 15-20 years old, you may need to have your system replaced. You can request for us to come to inspect your system and we’ll let you know what the best option is for you.
